Harper's Ferry (VA-MD-WV) Quadrangle

After crossing the Potomac on the US 340 bridge from Maryland, I pulled off at the "Potomac Wayside." From the highway signs, the change of pavement age/condition, and my map-reading, I was sure that I parked on the Virginia - West-Virginia state line. Since the map showed the border running along the south bank of the Potomac, I walked down to the river bank and searched the rocks, but I could not find any sort of marker. (Of course, that means that if the actual Tri-State point is marked with a bench-mark or monument, then I was not at the point!) Not much of a story, and I might have to go back to thise one again...
