I am a Doctoral student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the State University of New York at Buffalo with the IGERT program (2005-2009).   I completed my BS in Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University in 2000 and a MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Ecological Engineering (lake, wetland and reservoir restoration) at the University of California, Berkeley in May 2001. Since Berkeley, I have worked as a consulting environmental engineer specializing in treatment wetland and stream restoration designs.  My research interests include aquatic ecosystem restoration, in particular small stream habitat restoration and erosion control.  When not at SUNY Buffalo you can find me taking advantage of Western New York's great outdoors whether it is stomping around in local swamps and streams, riding my mountain bike or hitting the cross country ski trails.
