I am a fourth year IGERT Fellow in the Department of Geography.  My main research focus is on interactions between ecological and hydrological and how these interactions change in space and time.  For my dissertation research I have employed a combination of field and simulation techniques to understand how transpiration changes across stand boundaries for two sites in northern Wisconsin.

Through my research I seek to improve the mechanistic understanding of the controls of transpiration, and to interpret these findings in the context of regional water fluxes and environmental change. Other research interests include spatial representation of ecological processes, GIS, and assessing land cover change and ecosystem heterogeneity using remote sensing.
