James R Craig

James R Craig

Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering
University of Waterloo

James Craig completed his Ph.D. in environmental engineering this past year. His dissertation was titled, “Reactive Contaminant Transport Modeling using Analytic Element Flow Solutions.” He is now Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada).
As stated in last year’s bio:
Originally from Long Island, I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. During my stay at the University of Buffalo, I have participated in multiple projects, from the development of high-speed algorithms for regional groundwater flow, to user interface design for groundwater software, to early attempts at modeling the entire Great Lakes watershed. In addition, I had the opportunity to teach classes in environmental engineering and numerical methods.
I am a musician (jazz bass and cello), an illustrator, and an avid reader of historical fiction and psychology. I live with my girlfriend, Dawn, and our cat, Noah. Visit my website at: http://www.groundwater.buffalo.edu/faculty/James/JamesCraig.html
