I completed my B.S. in Bioinformatics and my B.A. in Computer Science at Canisius College of Buffalo, New York in May 2006. I concentrated my research on the clustering of genes within eukaryotic genomes, writing a computer program to perform statistical analysis on several yeast genomes.

I am currently in the Computer Science & Engineering Department at SUNY Buffalo and my research interests include computer vision, image analysis, and the geography of biological images. The highly interdisciplinary nature of the IGERT program allows me to extend my areas of research by being able to apply Computer Science to a broader range of topics.

I find it difficult to not be doing anything at all and in my "copious" spare time I am a student of Tae Kwon Do.
