Educational Background:

M.A. in Philosophy from Kent State University 2006

B.A. in Philosophy from Kent State University 2004

Research Interests:

I am primarily interested in metaphysics and epistemology and their application to geographical information science.  In particular, I am interested in questions concerning the fundamental ontological nature of time and the objects that are said to exist in time.  This includes the study of how entities persist through time and the nature of diachronic identity.  Closely related to this is an attempt to determine what qualifies as knowledge and how knowledge is acquired.  My secondary interests include logic and philosophy of language.
